About The Program

IIM Bangalore Post-Doctoral Research Associateship – Centre for Public Policy 2022 is a fellowship opportunity offered by the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore to post-doctoral researchers. The selected researcher is required to work on an exciting new project at the Centre for Public Policy, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. The multi-institution project includes researchers from IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, Cornell University, Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will receive compensation as per institute norms.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must -

  • Be below 60 years of age (for non-teaching staff, subject to discretion from the director)
  • Have ideally defended their dissertation (or at the very least, submitted their dissertation)
  • Hold a Ph.D. degree from any Science or Social Science discipline with a substantive interest in the urban environment 

 

Key Skills/Abilities/Knowledge Required -

  • Have demonstrated econometrics expertise, especially spatial econometrics
  • Have advanced GIS skills including demonstrated experience with remote-sensing data
  • Have advanced coding skills in R and/or Python

Note - Post-doc salaries at IIM Bangalore are comparable to the best in India.

Selection Criteria

The candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in the interview.

Terms and Conditions

  • Interviews for shortlisted candidates will be conducted online via zoom.
  • This is a 12-month position with a possible second-year extension.
