About The Program
IIITDM Kancheepuram Summer Internship 2025 is an initiative designed by the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kancheepuram, for students pursuing UG and PG level studies outside of IIITDM Kancheepuram. It provides an opportunity to enhance awareness and interest in high-quality academic research activities among young engineers. Selected interns will receive an amount of ₹10,000 at the end of the internship period and accommodation.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a student enrolled in a university other than IIITDM Kancheepuram
- have scored at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in all the examinations SSLC onwards
- have successfully completed one of the following:
- 4th-semester examinations pursuing a B.Sc. degree
- 6th-semester examinations pursuing a B.E., B.Tech., or B.Arch. degree
- 6th or 8th-semester examinations if pursuing an Integrated M.E./M.Tech. (Dual Degree) program
- 2nd-semester examinations pursuing an M.E., M.Tech., M.Arch., or M.Sc. degree
Note:-
This internship program also welcomes applications from students supported by external agency fellowships.
Applicants must have come under the top 20% in terms of CGPA in the college, institution, or university at the time of applying.
Benefits
25 selected candidates will receive:-
- Free accommodation at the institute's hostel
- An incentive of ₹10,000 at the end of the internship
- A completion certificate at the end of the internship
Note:-
- Food and other amenities will be provided on a payment basis.
- Interns must submit a report at the end of the program to receive the certificate.

- A maximum of 50 positions are being considered for the May-July 2025 summer program.
- Each participating faculty member at IIITDM Kancheepuram will mentor a maximum of one intern, excluding candidates with external agency fellowships.
- Mentor assignments will be determined by IIITDM Kancheepuram, and interns will not be shared between mentors.
- Applicants are strongly advised to carefully review all entered information before submitting the application form, as no modifications will be permitted after submission.
- Selected candidates’ names will be displayed on the website of IIITDM Kancheepuram in the first week of April.
