About The Program
Indian Institute of Forest Management invites applications for IIFM Bhopal Senior/Junior Research Fellowship 2020 from Postgraduate degree/diploma applicants. The fellowship is applicable for the project titled, "Crisis Response and ForestResource Use: Tracking Rural Livelihood Decisions in Response to the Covid-19 Pandemic in Ratapani Wildlife Sanctuary and Adjoining Areas (India)". The selected candidates will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus HRA (as JRF) and INR 35,000 per month plus HRA (as SRF).

To be eligible, an applicant must -
Senior Research Fellowship qualification-
- Have a Postgraduate degree/ diploma in Forestry Management/ Social Sciences from a recognized university
- Be NET qualified
- Have at least 2 years of research/ consulting experience for SRF
Junior Research Fellowship qualification-
- Have a Postgraduate degree/ diploma in Forestry Management/ Social Sciences from a recognized University/ Institute with not less than 55% marks
Desirable Qualification/ Experience:
- Appreciation of rural natural resource management issues, and human-forest interactions
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and international research team
- Well conversant in English & Hindi.
- Ability to collect data from forest plots (on tree species, regeneration, etc.).
- Excellent writing skills (briefs and research reports)
- Experience of interpreting and analyzing satellite imagery and other geospatial data/ Google Earth Engine/ QGIS will be an added advantage.
