About The Program

ICMR-NIP New Delhi Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) 2022 is a research opportunity offered by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in partnership with the National Institute of Pathology, New Delhi for graduate/postgraduate degree holders. The candidate is required to work on an ICMR funded project entitled - "Chronic Stool Shedding' Blood Antigenemia, and Identification of Novel Biomarkers as Predictors for Development of MIS-C in Children Aged 0-19 years Exposed to SARS CoV2 Infection - A prospective Cohort Study". The selected fellow will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus 27% HRA.

To be eligible, an applicant must -

  • Be below 28 years of age 
  • Hold a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences or Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
    • National Eligibility Tests (NET)
    • National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions

 

Desirable Qualifications - 

  • Be able to carry out laboratory procedures - RT PC& ELISA. Experience and willingness of working in a laboratory with patient samples 
  • Have knowledge of computer MS-office, Ms-excel, MSPower point

Selection Criteria

The selection will be based on the applicant's performance in the interview.

  • The candidates who are already working elsewhere should provide a 'No Objection Certificate' from their current employer at the time of the interview.
  • The submission of any incorrect or false information during the process shall disqualify the candidature.
  • No hostel facility will be provided during the tenure and course of the project.
  • No TA/DA will be paid on the day of attending the interview.
  • The selected candidates will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR or continuation of their services in any other project.
  • The decision of the selection committee will be considered final in this regard.
  • Canvassing in any form will be considered a disqualification.
  • All candidates must bring their Curriculum Vitae (CV), original certificates, letter of recommendation, and one set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates.
