About The Program

The International Court of Justice offers the ICJ Judicial Fellowship Programme 2026. The fellowship is a prestigious opportunity designed to enable recent law graduates to gain professional experience by working for the International Court of Justice. Selected candidates will receive 10 months of professional experience along with other benefits, including financial assistance, travel and health insurance costs.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be 31 years old or younger at the start of the fellowship 
  • be a recent law graduate with excellent academic results
  • Have interest in public international law through studies, publications, and/or work experience
  • have an excellent command of at least one official language of the Court (English or French)
  • be nominated by a university (individual applications not accepted


Note:- Universities are encouraged to propose more than one nominee.
