About The Program

Indian Council of Historical Research invites applications for the ICHR Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), 2018-2019 from the students enrolled in any recognized Universities for the Ph.D. programme in History and its allied subjects. The fellows will get a fellowship amount of INR 17,600 per month as well as a contingency grant of INR 16,500 per annum for the duration of two years.

Important Information:

  • The deadline for online submission of application form will be 14th January 2018.
  • The deadline for submitting the printouts of the applications will be 24 January 2018.
  • The date of entrance test for the fellowship will be 11th March 2018.
  • Along with the application form, a Demand draft or Bankers cheque of INR 200 drawn in favor of DDO, ICHR payable at Delhi, will also be sent. Note: There will not be any registration fee for the applicants belonging to SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PWD) category.

Award details:

The selected candidate will get INR 17,600 per month as fellowship amount as well as a contingency grant of INR 16,500 per annum for the duration of two years.
