The Higgs Centre for Theoretical Physics at the University of Edinburgh invites applications for the Higgs Centre MSc Prize Scholarships for the academic year 2021-2022. Candidates interested in pursuing MSc in Theoretical Physics or Mathematical Physics can apply for the scholarship. A total of two candidates will be selected to receive scholarships worth GBP 5000.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for these scholarships, an applicant must:
- Have applied for studying a full-time MSc course (in Theoretical Physics or Mathematical Physics) at the University of Edinburgh
- Be of any nationality (but must have, or expect to obtain a UK first-class honours degree or its overseas equivalent)
Benefits The Higgs Centre will award 2 scholarships with each scholarship worth GBP 5000 and tenable for one academic year.

- Personal statement
- Degree certificates and academic transcripts
- Certified translations (if the relevant documents are not in English)
- Proof of English language proficiency
How can you apply? Applications for the scholarship can be submitted online through the MyEd portal. Follow the below steps to apply for the scholarship:

Step 4: Fill in all the required details.
Step 5: Upload the relevant documents and provide references.
Step 6: Submit the application.

Selection Criteria
The scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of academic merit.
Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship is for the academic session 2021-2022.
- The scholarship will be tenable for one academic year.
- To gain access to the scholarship application system, candidates must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh.
- After the submission of the application, it may take up to 5 working days for all system checks to be completed.
