About The Program

Haryana State Meritorious Incentive Scheme 2023-24 is an opportunity offered by the Directorate of Higher Education, Haryana to undergraduate and postgraduate students belonging to the General and SC category students of Haryana. The objective of the scheme is to encourage meritorious students who are studying in the Government Colleges of the State. The selected candidates will receive a scholarship of up to INR 5,000 per annum.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must - 

  • be a domicile of Haryana
  • have secured first, second or third in the annual university examination 
  • be pursuing general courses in Arts/Commerce/Science and education streams at a recognised government college

 

Note: 

  • This scheme will be college-specific.
  • Applicants from non-government colleges or pursuing correspondence courses/open universities will not be eligible for the award.
Benefits

The incentive will be awarded separately for each stream i.e. Arts, Commerce, Science (Medical/Non-Medical) and Education in the following manner:

  • The students who stand first in the merit will receive INR 5,000 per annum.
  • The students standing second in the merit will receive INR 3,000 per annum.
  • The students standing third in the merit will be given INR 2,000 per annum.

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply for the opportunity by following the below-mentioned steps - 
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Navigate to 'Student Registration' at the top of the dashboard and click on it.
Step 4: Enter the Parivar Pehchaan Patra (Family Id), a list of members will be displayed, select the name of the applicant, and click on the 'Generate OTP' button.
Step 5: Enter the OTP received on the registered Mobile No. and Click on the 'Verify OTP' button.
Step 6: After OTP Verification, all the details get auto-filled in the Registration Form, and cross-check the information.
Step 7: Select the Department and College, create a password and click on the 'Register' button.
Step 8: Click the login link at the portal and enter valid credentials to apply for the scholarship.
Step 9: Provide all necessary details like course, roll no., eligibility etc.
Step 10: Click on the 'Apply' button to save and submit the application.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected based on merit and fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

In case more than one student secures equal marks/percentage of marks, the award will be given on the basis of marks obtained in the main subjects.

 

Note: The regulation can be changed at any time at the discretion of the government.

  • The scheme is only for students studying at government colleges.
  • No income limit is required for the scholarship scheme as it is totally based on the merit list of the students.
  • The regulation can be changed at any time at the discretion of the govt.
  • The award holder under this scheme will hold any other scholarship/stipend from the state government or any other source.
