About The Program

The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore invites applications for H.M. Seervai Gold Medal Essay Competition, NLSIU 2017. The topic of the Essay is “Expansive Interpretation of the term ‘life’ under Article 21”.

 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • Candidates pursuing LL.B/B.A, LL.B / BBA, LLB can apply
  • The essay should be original one not exceeding 10,000 words

 

How can you apply?

The application can be done by post and by email with the following steps:

Apply by post

Step 1: Go to the website and read all the details before applying.

Step 2: Write the essay which should not be copied from anywhere.

Step 3: The candidate has to write the name, address, contact mobile no. on the entry

Step 4: Four hard copies of the essay should be sent by post to the following address.

Step 5: The candidate will superscribe “HM Seervai Gold Medal Essay Competition” on the properly sealed envelope.

Apply by email

Email the entry to hmse@nls.ac.in by attaching your essay by 12.00 pm on 10th June 2017. The bonafide certificate through the Principal or Head of the institution should also be attached with the essay.

Important documents
Terms and Conditions

The essay should be:

  • original and have not published earlier or extracted from other sources
  • within 10,000 words
  • must be in the English language
  • double-space typed pages should be 30, New Times Roman, font size 12) including footnotes and references
  • only typed on one side of the A4 size papers.
  • add a white page for the title page and the last page
  • staple all the pages and do not use plastic wrappers and spiral bounds
