To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must:
- Be either appearing or have passed Class 12 examination.
- Have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology in Class 12 examination.
- Have the date of birth on or after 1st July 1996.
Note:
For SC/ST students and students belonging from Jammu and Kashmir and the northeastern states namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura, the average marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology will be 50%.
The application can be done online and offline both.
In order to apply, follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Click here to register.
Step 2: Fill in all the details. Note- An email and SMS containing login credentials will be sent to the registered email id and mobile number.
Step 3: Login by entering registered email id and password.
Step 4: Fill in all the details.
Step 5: Upload the documents required.
Step 6: Pay the application fee through online mode.
Note: Note down the application number generated after the submission of form for future correspondence.
For offline submission, follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Get the application form by following modes:
- In person, by preparing a demand draft of INR 1200 in favor of Vellore Institute of Technology from the following places:
- VIT, Vellore Campus
- VIT, Bhopal (MP)
- VIT, Amaravati (AP)
- VIT, Chennai Campus, or
- From the designated list of these post offices.
Step 2: Fill the OMR application form carefully using a black ballpoint pen.
Step 3: Paste a recent, passport size, colour photograph of good quality and sign in the space provided.
Step 4: Send the application form in the separate envelope provided through registered post or speed post to the address mentioned below:

Application fee:
- The application fee will be INR 1150 for online submission.
- The application fee will be INR 1200 for offline submission.
Document required:
Photograph: The size of the image should be between 10 KB and 200 KB with the dimension of 3.5 CM X 4.5 CM.
Signature: The size of the image should be between 10 KB and 200 KB with the dimension of 3.5 CM X 1.5 CM.
Award details:
The amount of scholarship will be based on the performance of candidates in Class 12 examination and in the qualifying examination of VIT i.e, VITEEE.
