About The Program

The Department of Tourism, Sport and Hotel Management of Griffith Business School invites applications for Honours Scholarship 2019 from deserving candidates who are currently pursuing Bachelors of Business Honours program and have proposed a research topic relevant to the research prospects of the Department. A maximum award of AUD 5,000 will be granted to the selected candidates under this scheme.

To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must:

  • Be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, hold a Humanitarian Visa, an International student or permanent resident of Australia.
  • Fulfil the desired eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Business with Honours (program code 2088) and has also been enrolled in the program.
  • Be starting the Honours program in the year 2019 along with a projected research topic relevant to the Department’s research prospects.
  • Be enrolled in a full-time course program.
  • Have scored at least 6 GPA during the second and third year of study of undergraduate courses.

Note: Scores of 5.5 GPA or above can also be considered if the candidates provide an authentic reason for the low score.

Benefits

The maximum value of the scholarship award is AUD 5,000 which is payable to the selection scholars in instalments. The amount shall be given in instalments of AUD 2,500 for each trimester. The payment will be made to the recipients within six weeks of the census date.

Note –Awardees are free to choose to receive their scholarship award in cash to their designated bank accounts or the amount can be adjusted against their Student Contribution Charges.

How can you apply?

Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarship:

Step 1: Visit the official notification link and click on 'Start your Application' button. 
Step 2: Read all the instructions carefully.
Step 3: Current Griffith students are required to log in using their Student login credentials and fill the application form while the new users need to click on 'Create an account' and generate a user id to apply for the scholarship. 
Step 4: After logging in, fill in all required information in the application form.
Step 5: Upload all supporting documents.
Step 6: Submit the form.

Note: Also, any change in the successfully submitted application may require the candidate to withdraw their submission and re-apply all over again.

Terms and Conditions
  • To receive the scholarship award, recipients must be enrolled full-time in any of the following courses of Honours program in 2nd Trimester 2019:
    • Quantitative Methods
    • Research Design
    • Special Topics in Honours Research
    • Qualitative Methods
  • Recipients should also maintain a GPA of 6.5 or above to receive the second instalment.
