About The Program

Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship for SC Students, Maharashtra 2024-25 is an initiative of the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra to support SC/Neo-Buddhist students pursuing studies beyond Class 10 within the state. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to students and reduce dropout rates in educational institutions. Selected students will receive a monthly maintenance allowance of up to ₹1,200 and other benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: 31-Mar-2025

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be a domicile of Maharashtra
  • belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha community
  • be studying in Class 11 or above
  • have completed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent matriculation
  • have an annual income of less than or equal to ₹2,50,000 from all sources

Note: Students can pursue only two professional courses under this scheme.

Benefits

Selected candidates will receive the benefits below for a duration of 10 months in a year:-

In addition to the maintenance allowance, all mandatory fees/compulsory payable fees i.e. tuition fees, exam fees & other fees of the student to the institutes will be covered under this scheme.

  • Income certificate issued by Tahsildar
  • Caste certificate
  • Marksheet for the last appeared examination
  • Marksheet for SSC or HSC
  • Income certificate (if required)
  • Gap and self-declaration certificate (if required)
  • Hostel certificate (if required)
  • Husband's income certificate (if the applicant is a married female)
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:
Step 1:
 Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Click on the 'New Applicant Registration' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard. 
Step 4: Fill in all required details, and verify the email and phone number.
Step 5: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometrics. 
Step 6: After completing the authentication process, fill in all the required details in the 'Register' tab.
Step 7: Now, click on the 'Applicant login' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard.
Step 8: Log in using the username and password. 
Step 9: Fill in the necessary details, upload the specified documents, and submit.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected based on the fulfilment of the eligibility criteria.

Terms and Conditions
  • Students who fail to be promoted to the next class on the first attempt are eligible for reimbursement of the exam fee and maintenance allowance.
  • Students who pass and are promoted to the next class after two attempts are still eligible for this scholarship.
  • Students who fail the same class twice are ineligible for the scholarship benefits.
