About The Program

The Google Silicon Engineering Internship 2026 is offered by Google. This internship is a prestigious paid opportunity designed to provide outstanding PhD students with hands-on experience working on advanced hardware and silicon design projects. To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be currently pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronicsand Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • have experience in one or more of the following areas: Hardware System Integration, Signal and Power Integrity, System Validation, Wireless Communications, Product Design, Computer Architecture, Digital Design Verification, Digital Circuits, ASIC Physical Design, FPGAs, Embedded Systems, Memory Systems
  • have experience in programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, Verilog, UVM), Synopsys, and Cadence tools
  • be available to work full-time for 12-14 weeks during Summer 2026
  • have English proficiency

Note:-

  • Preferred qualifications include experience with wireless communication interfaces and sensors, performance modeling tools, C++, Python, or Silicon design tools in Front End/Design Verification/Physical Design.
