About The Program

Google Science fair 2018 is a Global Science and technology Competition inviting young innovators and researchers to present their technical projects for opportunities of winning various scholarships. The participants from India are required to be within the age limits of 13 to 18.

The various scholarships include visits to National Geographic Student Expedition, Virgin Galactic Facilities and Google Headquarters.

To be eligible for this scholarship, each applicant (individual/team member) must-

  • Be within 13-18 years age limit
  • Should not be a previous winner in any category of the award
  • Not be family member (legally or otherwise) of the LEGO®, Virgin Galactic, National Geographic, and Scientific American employee
  • Have permission from parent or legal guardian to enter this competition

How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the program through following steps:

Note: The applicant can either apply as an individual or team leader only.

Step 1: Register for a Google Account or use the details of the Google Account applicant already has.
Step 2: Visit Google Science Fair Website and register with respective Google Account credentials
Step 3: Enter personal details and save them
Step 4: Answer all the questions about your project entry including attachments of necessary documents
Step 5: Add the Team Members’ Google Accounts to the project entry if applying as a Team
Step 6: Mention a parent or guardian’s email address for consent to participate.

Note:

  • Each team member for team entries should adhere to age requirements
  • Following the Team Leader’s Project registration, each team member will be instructed to enter their personal details on the Google Science Fair Portal
  • Each team member has to get parental/guardian consent for the submission of the complete entry

  • Team Applications’ Age Group will be decided by oldest member’s age (irrespective of Team Leader’s age)
  • The Entry must follow the technical, creative, and legal entry requirements set out in these Official Rules and the Competition Site (mentioned in the Google Science Fair 2018 Guidelines Document below)
