About The Program
The Goa University Research Studentship 2024 offers financial assistance to full-time Ph.D. research scholars enrolled in recognized programs at Goa University. This program supports scholars in their research endeavours.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be a full-time Ph.D. research scholar
- have confirmed Ph.D. registration at Goa University
- have at least a second class at the graduate level
- hold a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% or equivalent grade from Goa University or any other institution recognised by Goa University
- have completed no more than 8 terms on the date of application
- not hold any other scholarships or studentships
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive financial assistance to carry out their research work.
Note:-
- The fellowship is awarded for an initial period of two years.
- Continuation for a third year is possible based on a committee's recommendation to the vice-chancellor. To be considered for renewal, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate significant progress in their research work.
- Have at least one publication in a journal included in the UGC CARE list.
- Candidates must apply for a second-year continuation. This application will be assessed based on their research guide's recommendation regarding the research quality.
- Recipients are required to return the fellowship amount if their Ph.D. registration is terminated or they cannot complete the program. In such cases, a formal agreement outlining the repayment terms is mandatory.

Eligible applicants can follow the below steps to apply:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and fill in the required details to 'Register' (Note:- If already registered, log in using the registered email ID.)
Step 3: Read the details carefully and download the application form.
Step 4: Students must submit the application form along with certified copies of the required documents to their respective research guide. The research guide will then forward them to the directorate office.

Terms and Conditions
- Candidates must submit a declaration of unemployment right after the issue of the sanction order.
- The studentship will likely be terminated if the six-monthly report is unsatisfactory.
- Candidates must sign the attendance register twice a day which is available at the office of the respective discipline/program.
- Scholars are entitled to take a leave of absence for a maximum of 30 days during their Goa Research Studentship program.
