About The Program

The Global Indian International School (GIIS) invites applications for GIIS Singapore Global Citizen Scholarship 2020 from students who have passed Class 10. This scholarship is an initiative of the Global School Foundation to provide opportunities for students to continue their studies in Singapore. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must 

  • Have studied English as the first language.
  • Have obtained grade A in all subjects of Class 9 and pre-board examination of Class 10 (For CBSE students)
  • Have obtained an aggregate of 80 percent in all subjects of Class 9 and 10 pre-board examination (For ICSE/state board students).
  • Have obtained a minimum grade A or above in all subjects of Class 9 with extended curriculum and pre-board of Class 10 (For IGCSE students).
Benefits

The scholarship worth SGD 90,000 per student will be given to selected scholars. The scholarship includes tuition fees, boarding, lodging, and travel expenses for two-year. 

Documents

Scanned copies of the following documents are required at the time of application -

  • Class 9 Final Mark Sheet
  • Class 10 Pre-Board/Half-Yearly Mark Sheet
  • Recent Passport Size Photograph
  • Certificates of Extra-Curricular Achievements for Class 8, 9 and 10 only
  • Applicant's Valid ID Proof (Eg. Passport/Aadhaar Card)
  • Parent's Valid ID Proof (Eg. Passport/Aadhaar Card)

Important Dates

Application deadline: 10th March 2020
Written test: Second week of April 2020
Declaration of results for the written test: End of April 2020
Interviews: Mid of May 2020
The final list of selected students: June 2020

Selection Criteria

Selection will be based on the written test and a face-to-face interview.

Terms and Conditions
  • This is a no bond scholarship provided to students who complete Class 10 with strong academic results and co-curricular credentials.
  • The written examination includes two parts namely, MCQ (English, Mathematics and Logical & Analytical Reasoning) and Subjective (Essay Writing).
  • Around 10 students are offered this scholarship every year.
