GIIS Global Sports Scholarship 2023 is an opportunity offered by the Global Indian International School (GIIS). The scholarship is offered to the students of Class 1 to 12 who are recognised as young sportspersons and achieved success at the national, international and state levels. Candidates are invited to apply for the scholarship across various individual and team disciplines that includes -
- Badminton
- Table Tennis
- Lawn Tennis
- Chess
- Athletics
- Gymnastics
- Swimming
- Archery
- Shooting
- Boxing
- Weightlifting
- Cycling
- Diving
- Soccer
- Volleyball
- Basketball
- Netball
- Traditional Games (kho-kho, Kabaddi)
- Martial Arts (Judo & Karate)
- Wrestling
- Hockey
- Cricket
- Rugby
- Squash
Candidates who are selected will be granted a complete waiver of academic expenses. They will also receive sports expenses of up to a maximum limit of INR 6,00,000 per year for a period of three consecutive years.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be Indian citizen
- be a student of Classes 1 to 12
- have a family annual income of less than INR 5,00,000
- have good academic performance for the past two years
- be affiliated with a Sports Coach or a recognised Sports Body/Federation/Academy
- be members of winners' and runners-up teams and first/second or third position holders in individual events at State or National level OR
- have consistently played for the last 2 years for their country/state at state or national or international levels in the last 2/3 years and should be within 500 ranks in the national ranking/within 100 in the state ranking 100 OR
- have represented/winner of sub-junior/junior/senior National championships/games for last 2 years

Awarded at International Sports Sports Expenses: 100% subject to a max of INR 6 lacs per year for 3 consecutive years
Academic Expenses: 100% of Total Fees
Category B
Represented at International Sports Sports Expenses: 100% subject to a max of INR 4 lacs per year for 3 consecutive years
Academic Expenses: 100% of Total Fees
Category C
Awarded at National Sports Sports Expenses: 100% subject to a max of INR 2.25 lacs per year for 3 consecutive years
Academic Expenses: 100% of Total Fees
Category D Represented at National Sports
Sports Expenses: 100% subject to a max of INR 1.25 lacs per year for 3 consecutive years
Category E Awarded at State Level
Sports Expenses: 90% subject to a max of INR 75,000 per year for 3 consecutive years
Academic Expenses: 90% of Total Fees
Category F
Represented at State Level Sports Expenses: 90% subject to a max of INR 25,000 per year for 3 consecutive years
Academic Expenses: 90% of Total Fees
Note - Transport, books and uniform charges/ fees are excluded.

How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the apprenticeship by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Apply Now' button at the bottom of the page.
Step 4: Fill in all the necessary details, upload the required documents, and click on the 'Submit' button.

Application End Date - 30th June 2023
Selection Criteria
Candidates will be selected upon meeting the eligibility criteria.
Terms and Conditions
- Applications submitted without appropriate support/ incomplete documents will not be processed.
- Applicant must have represented at International/National/State forums or other similar reputed/ recognized competitions.
