About The Program
GIIS Global Sports Scholarship 2023 is an opportunity offered by the Global Indian International School (GIIS). The scholarship is offered to the students of Class 1 to 12 who are recognised as young sportspersons and achieved success at the national, international and state levels. Candidates are invited to apply for the scholarship across various individual and team disciplines that includes -
- Badminton
- Table Tennis
- Lawn Tennis
- Chess
- Athletics
- Gymnastics
- Swimming
- Archery
- Shooting
- Boxing
- Weightlifting
- Cycling
- Diving
- Soccer
- Volleyball
- Basketball
- Netball
- Traditional Games (kho-kho, Kabaddi)
- Martial Arts (Judo & Karate)
- Wrestling
- Hockey
- Cricket
- Rugby
- Squash
Candidates who are selected will be granted a complete waiver of academic expenses. They will also receive sports expenses of up to a maximum limit of INR 6,00,000 per year for a period of three consecutive years.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- be Indian citizen
- be a student of Classes 1 to 12
- have a family annual income of less than INR 5,00,000
- have good academic performance for the past two years
- be affiliated with a Sports Coach or a recognised Sports Body/Federation/Academy
- be members of winners' and runners-up teams and first/second or third position holders in individual events at State or National level OR
- have consistently played for the last 2 years for their country/state at state or national or international levels in the last 2/3 years and should be within 500 ranks in the national ranking/within 100 in the state ranking 100 OR
- have represented/winner of sub-junior/junior/senior National championships/games for last 2 years

Eligible candidates can apply for the apprenticeship by following the below-mentioned steps:
