About the Program

The Future Generation Art Prize 2018 is an initiative to discover and encourage the artists of age 35 years or less from all across the world. 20 artists will be nominated by the selection committee and will be commissioned to create new work for display at the Pinchuk Art Centre in Kyiv.

    Eligibility
    • Participants of any nationality are eligible to apply.
    • Participants between the age 18 to 35 years, working in any medium, can apply.

    Note: Former prize winners are not eligible to apply.

    Benefits
    • The first prize winner will receive USD 1,00,000 which will be split into USD 60,000 in cash and USD 40,000 as an investment in the winner's future work.
    • A total amount of USD 20,000 will be awarded to up to 5 special prize winners.

    Step 3: Fill in all the required details carefully.
    Step 4: Upload the necessary documents/files/photographs/videos.
    Step 5: Then, submit the form.  

Important Dates

The important dates are as under:
Application deadline: 29th June 2018
Announcement of shortlisted candidates: 27th August 2018
Exhibition of shortlisted artists at Pinchuk Art Centre: 1st February to 14th April 2019
Future Generation Art Prize Ceremony: 6th March 2019
Future Generation Art Prize 2019 @ Venice: 9 May to September 2019   

Selection Criteria

An international selection committee consisting of experts of contemporary art reviews the applications received and selects up to 20 artists for the exhibition. 

Terms and Conditions
  • Participant must submit his/her own artwork.
  • One participant can apply only once during the application session.
  • A group of artists can apply as one participant.
  • The application of a participant will be considered as submitted only when he/she receives a confirmation mail.
