About The Program

FIDH ICC Internship 2026 is offered by the International Federation for Human Rights. This internship is a prestigious opportunity designed to support outstanding students pursuing careers in international justice and human rights. Selected candidates will work at FIDH's permanent delegation to the ICC in The Hague, Netherlands, gaining valuable experience in advocacy, research, and engagement with international justice mechanisms.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be pursuing studies in International Law, Criminal Law, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field
  • have an interest in human rights or international justice with exposure to international organisations or courts
  • have experience in research and analysis
  • be fluent in English with a good command of French (Spanish or additional languages are a plus)
  • have strong organisational and interpersonal skills
Benefits

The selected intern will receive:

  • monthly stipend in accordance with applicable internal arrangements
  • daily contribution toward meal expenses
  • reimbursement of travel expenses
  • 12 days RTT (reduction of working time) over the period
  • 2 days paid holiday per month

  • The intern will work under the direct supervision of Danya Chaikel, FIDH Representative to the ICC, and Ashley Waye, FIDH Programme Officer to the ICC, both based in The Hague.

  • Selected candidates will be screened against the Single Asset Freeze List in compliance with UN, EU, and French financial sanctions regulations.
