About The Program
Edinburgh Global Research Scholarship 2018-19 invites applications from overseas postgraduate students who are willing to pursue a PhD programme in 2018-19. The scholarship aims at attracting high-quality research students to the University of Edinburgh.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
An applicant must -
- Be an overseas postgraduate student
- Be willing to pursue a PhD in the College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine in 2018-19
- Be of outstanding research potential and academic merit.
Note: The applicants with an upper second class honours bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) can be also be considered for the scholarship. However, in order to gain a competitive advantage, a first class bachelor's degree along with an excellent master's degree will be given preference.
Benefits
The selected students will receive a scholarship that covers the difference between the tuition fee for an EU/UK postgraduate students and that chargeable to overseas postgraduate students.

Selection Criteria
Terms and Conditions
- The scholarship is tenable for up to three years subject to satisfactory progress of the candidates.
- A total of 30 scholarships will be disbursed under this programme.
- The students who are already pursuing a PhD programme will not be considered eligible for this award.
