About The Program
DRDO-TBRL Chandigarh Research Associateship and Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is an initiative by the Terminal Ballistics Research Laboratory (TBRL) Chandigarh, a premier Institute of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for Ph.D or postgraduate degree holders. The selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of INR 31,000 plus HRA admissible as per prevailing rules (for Junior Research Fellowship) and INR 54,000 per month plus HRA admissible as per prevailing rules (for Research Associateship).

To be eligible, an applicant must -
For Research Associateship (RA) -
- Be below 35 years of age
- Hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in chemistry, OR
- Hold a Postgraduation in Chemistry and 3 (three) years of Research, Teaching or Design & Development experience with the publication of at least one paper in the Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal
For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) -
- Be below 28 years of age
- Hold postgraduation degree in Chemistry in first division with NET qualification

The selected fellow will receive a monthly stipend as follow -
- For Junior Research Fellowship - INR 31,000 plus HRA admissible as per prevailing rules
- For Research Associateship - INR 54,000 per month plus HRA admissible as per prevailing rules

- One candidate can apply only for one fellowship as per their essential and desirable qualification.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/joining, irrespective of the selection.
- No Govt. accommodation will be provided by the organization to the candidates.
- The number of fellowships will increase or decrease depending upon the current requirement.
- The candidates will be shortlisted for the interview on the basis of their score on the national written test or NET/GATE and the percentage of marks obtained in the minimum qualifying degree.
- The selection through online interviews will be purely provisional and subject to verification of documents and original certificates. The candidature will be rejected if any mismatch/canvassing is noticed in details regarding qualification, discipline, percentage of marks or non-fulfilment of any specified criteria at the time of joining.
