About The Program
The DRDO-NSTL Apprenticeship Training Program 2026 is offered by the Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL), Visakhapatnam, under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. This apprenticeship program aims to provide practical training and skill development to eligible applicants in the ITI fields. Selected applicants will undergo 1-year apprenticeship training and receive a monthly stipend as per Government rules.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be an Indian national
- have completed ITI in relevant disciplines
- have passed the qualifying examination in 2023, 2024, or 2025
- be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
Not Eligible:
- Applicants with postgraduate qualifications
- Applicants with more than 1 year of work experience
- Applicants who have already completed or are undergoing apprenticeship training

- Medial Fitness Certificate issued by a Civil Assistant Surgeon or equivalent

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.

Step 3: Navigate to ‘Login/Registration’ and click on 'Candidate’.

Step 5: Fill in the required fields and click on the ‘Register’ button.
Step 6: Use your credentials to ‘LOGIN’ and proceed with your application.
Step 7: After completion of the application. Send the scanned application along with documents to ‘admin2.dept.nstl@gov.in’
Note:
- The marks obtained in the qualifying exam are to be mentioned in percentage. For CGPA, candidates are requested to convert it to a percentage as per their university norms; this will be verified during document verification.
- Applicants are required to bring a signed printout of the application (Annexure-A) along with the originals of the documents submitted online at the time of joining NSTL, Visakhapatnam.
- Ensure all details are correct and complete before submission.

- The duration of the apprenticeship is 12 months
- No TA/DA will be paid to the applicants called for any stage of the selection process.
- No hostel or transport facility is provided to the applicants.
- Applicants must link Aadhaar with a bank account (DBT-enabled) for the smooth transfer of the stipend.
- Selection may be cancelled if incorrect information is provided by the applicants.
