About The Program
The DRDO Paid Internship 2026 is offered by the Naval Materials Research Laboratory (NMRL), a premier laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The internship is designed for meritorious B.E./B. Tech final-year students and M.Sc second-year students to gain practical exposure in defence-related research and technology development.
Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 for 6 months at NMRL, Ambernath, Maharashtra.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be an Indian student
- be pursuing a full-time degree from an AICTE/UGC-approved institution
- be enrolled in the final year of B.E./B. Tech or second year of M.Sc
- have a minimum CGPA of 7.0 in all previous semesters (for engineering students)
- have secured at least 65% marks in the first-year examination (for M.Sc students)
- be below 25 years of age

- Interns must be physically present for at least 15 working days every month.
- Stipend will be released in two installments after 3 months and 6 months.
- No boarding or lodging facilities will be provided.

- An internship completion certificate will only be awarded after successful completion of the full tenure.
