About The Program

DRDO DYSL-CT Junior Research Fellowship 2026 is offered by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The fellowship is a prestigious research opportunity designed to support outstanding candidates pursuing research in Cognitive Radio, Cognitive Radar, and Cognitive Surveillance fields. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 per month along with HRA as applicable.

EligibilityDeadline Date: 08-Mar-2026

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • hold a B.E/B. Tech degree in a relevant discipline
  • hold a Post Graduate degree (M.E./M.Tech) in the relevant discipline (Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication / Instrumentation Engineering).
  • must have secured First Division at both Graduate and Post Graduate levels.
  • have a degree both( graduate and post graduate) from the AICTE-accredited Institutes/Universities
  • be a maximum of 28 years of age as on the last date of receipt of application (age relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC(NCL) candidates as per Government rules.

Note:-

  • Candidates who have already been awarded a JRF position in any DRDO Laboratory/Centre/Establishment earlier are not eligible to apply again.

Benefits

The selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 per month along with house rent allowance as applicable.

  • GATE/CSIR-UGC NET scorecard
  • CGPA to percentage conversion proof from the University/Institution
  • Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/PH as applicable)
  • Passport-size photographs
  • No Objection Certificate

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-

  • The Offer of fellowship is purely temporary in nature for a limited period as per rules in vogue, and does not confer any right for absorption in DRDO.
