About The Program
DRDO-DRDL Hyderabad ITI Apprenticeship 2024 is a one-year training program offered by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) at its Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) in Hyderabad, India. The selected trainees will receive a stipend as per the Government of India notifications.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- belong to one of the below-specified trades and possess the corresponding qualification:

- have passed the qualifying exam and been certified by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)
- not have undergone or are presently undergoing apprenticeship training in the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) or elsewhere
Note:- Reservations to SC, ST, OBC, and PwD categories are applicable as per the Apprentice Act.
The following candidates are ineligible for the apprenticeship training:-
- Candidates who have been terminated from apprenticeship training at DRDL.
- Candidates who are terminated two times from other establishments.
Benefits
The selected trainees will undergo one year of apprenticeship training in their respective trades and will be provided with a stipend as per Government of India notifications.
Documents
Candidates must attach copies of the following documents along with the application form (Appendix A):-
- SSC certificate
- Class 10 certificate/marksheet
- ITI certificate and marksheet
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar card
- Bank passbook
- Self-attested passport-size photograph
Selected candidates are required to bring the above-mentioned documents along with the following at the time of joining:
- Medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner
- Police Verification Certificate,
- Original certificates of the below:
- SSC and ITI
- Caste (if applicable)
- PwD (if applicable)
- Two recent passport-size photographs

Eligible candidates can apply for the apprenticeship by following the below-mentioned steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Read the details carefully and download the application form.
Step 4: Fill the application in the prescribed format with all the required details including the contact number, attach copies of the necessary documents, and seal it in an enclosed envelope, clearly superscribing: "APPLICATION FOR ITI APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING AT DRDL for the period 01-Apr-2024 to 31-Mar-2025."
Step 4: Drop the sealed envelope in the provided box at DRDL Security Reception OR

Terms and Conditions
- Apprentice will be engaged for one year from the commencement of training.
- Incomplete online applications, such as those without Aadhaar linking or with discrepancies in date of birth, name, or father's name as compared to Aadhaar and SSC certificate, will be rejected without any correspondence.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified via phone/SMS; no other correspondence will be sent. Shortlisted candidates must bring all original relevant certificates at the time of verification/interview.
- Once selected, candidates should report to DRDL, Hyderabad, within ten working days; failure to do so will automatically terminate their training engagement without further intimation.
- Apprentice training will be automatically terminated without intimation in case of unauthorised absence for more than fifteen days.
- No Travelling Allowance and Dearness Allowance (TA/DA) shall be admissible for verification/interview or at the time of joining.
- Completion of training does not entitle the candidates to claim any right to a temporary or permanent job in DRDL.
- The probable date of commencement of training is 1st April 2024.
