About The Program
The DRDO DRDE Gwalior Junior Research Fellowship 2026 is offered by the Defence Research and Development Establishment (DRDE), Gwalior, a premier institute under DRDO. This prestigious research fellowship is designed to attract young and meritorious Indian Nationals to pursue defence-related research. Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of ₹37,000 along with other allowances.

To be eligible, an applicant must:
- be an Indian National
- hold a First Class M.Sc. degree (or provisional certificate) in the relevant discipline, Chemistry or Biological Sciences
- have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by CSIR-UGC (JRF/LS) or GATE (MHRD)
- be 28 years of age or below as on the date of the interview
Note: Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates; 3 years for OBC candidates; other categories as per DRDO policy.

Step 6: Appear for the Walk-in-Interview at DRDE, Jhansi Road, Gwalior — 474 002 on the scheduled date. Reporting time: 09:30 hrs at the Main Gate Reception
Step 7: Carry a hard copy of the filled application form with a recent passport-size photograph and one set of self-attested copies of all certificates/mark sheets/NET/GATE score card, etc.
