About The Program

DIGITAL (Digital Rights and Inclusive Technology for All) Fellowship 2024 is an opportunity offered by the Centre for Communication Governance (CCG) at National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi), to lawyers.

The objective of this 10-month fellowship is to support the development of digital rights and related subjects by providing high-quality legal research support to lawyers and civil society organizations. It will also provide an opportunity to build a collaborative community for digital rights and technology policy in India, shaping future law and policy in this area.

A total of 3 selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend of ₹50,000. In exceptional circumstances, CCG may choose to award a part-time fellowship to a candidate depending on their application and profile.

 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • have been born on or after 1st January 1989 
  • be registered with the Bar Council of India
  • be able to demonstrate a strong interest in and commitment to the development of digital rights and related subject areas
  • have excellent legal writing, drafting, and oral advocacy skills

 

Note:- Preference will be given to applicants with a minimum of two years’ experience in litigation.

Benefits

A total of 3 selected fellows will each receive a monthly non-negotiable stipend of ₹50,000. In exceptional circumstances, CCG may choose to award a part-time fellowship to a candidate based on their application and profile.

Documents
  • A two-page Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • A writing sample (published or unpublished article, essay, blog) between 1,000 and 2,000 words, preferably related to the fellowship's theme
  • Contact information for two professional or academic referees who can provide verbal or written references

 

Note:- Merge the CV and writing sample into a single PDF file labeled as "[Your name] - DIGITAL Fellowship".

Eligible applicants can apply for the fellowship by following the below-mentioned steps:-
Step 1:

Step 3: Read all the details carefully and click on the application link given under the 'Selection Process'.
Step 4: Fill in the required details, upload the required documents in PDF format, and submit.

 

Note:- Applicants cannot save their work on the application form during the online session and return to it later. Therefore, it is advised to prepare the essays beforehand.
