About The Program
DIAT Pune Junior Research Fellowship 2022 is an opportunity offered by the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune to M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work under the prestigious project of DRDO entitled - “Development of Technology for Non-flammable Hydrogen Gas and its Applications”. The selected candidate will receive a consolidated stipend of INR 31,000 per month.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold an M.E./M.Tech. degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Science & Tech./Aerospace Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a valid GATE score, OR
- Hold an M.Sc degree in Organic Chemistry or Physical Chemistry or Polymer or Industrial Chemistry or equivalent, from a reputed University or Institutes
- Have first class with UGC/CSIR-NET or SET or valid GATE score
Desirable Qualifications -
- Have sound knowledge of organic synthesis or processes (For M.Sc. candidates)
- Have good knowledge of Combustion Science & Technology, Fire, Safety and Engineering, CFD
- Have experience, strong aptitude for applied research and should be able to plan experiments and be able to write reports and articles
Benefits
The selected candidate will receive a consolidated stipend of INR 31,000 per month and medical facilities limited to MI room facilities that can be extended to the incumbent.

Terms and Conditions
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview of any mode.
- The JRF can get promoted to the SRF after two years based on their performance.
- ‘The crucial date’ for determining the upper age limit is 25th May 2022. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST, Women & PH and 03 years for OBC (NC) candidates.
- The candidates must have their original applications with all necessary educational and other supporting documents/project reports/publications etc., at the time of the interview.
- The selected JRF candidate should stay only in the institute accommodation and has to pay the hostel or family accommodation fee as per HMC norms.
