About The Program
Department of Metallurgical Engineering Junior Research Fellowship, IIT BHU Varanasi 2022 is a research opportunity offered to B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. degree holders. The fellowship requires the candidate to work on a DST-SERB sponsored project entitled - “Development of Low-cost Beta-Ti Alloys for Biomedical Applications”. The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus 16% HRA.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Not be more than 28 years of age*
- Hold a B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. degree in Metallurgical Engineering/Material Science/Ceramic Engineering/Mechanical Engineering
- Be GATE (or an equivalent exam) qualified
Note* - The upper age limit is relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates; in the case of non-research positions, the upper age limit will also be relaxed for the duration of earlier work in a project/scheme subject to the Institute rules prevalent at that time.
