About the Program
Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi invites applications for Department of Metallurgical Engineering Junior Research Fellowship, IIT BHU Varanasi 2020 from B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E degree holders. The fellowship requires the candidate to work on a DST-SERB sponsored project entitled, “Development of Low-cost Beta-Ti Alloys for Biomedical Applications”. The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus 16% HRA.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Not be more than 28 years of age
- Hold a B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E. in Metallurgical Engineering/ Material Science/ Ceramic Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering
- Be GATE (or an equivalent exam) qualified
The upper age limit is relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates; in case of non-research positions, the upper age limit may also be relaxed for the duration of earlier work in a project/scheme subject to the Institute rules prevalent at that time.
SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month plus 16% HRA.
Self-attested copies of Marksheets and Certificates, with details of any research or other experience, if any.
