About The Program

Department of Legal Affairs LLB Internship Programme 2025 is an opportunity provided by the Department of Legal Affairs (DOLA) for young law students and graduates. This program aims to familiarise young law students and graduates with the department through training in research and court operations, as well as providing legal advice in constitutional law, finance law, labor law, and contract law. Selected candidates are eligible for a completion certificate and an honorarium.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an Indian student
  • have passed the 2nd year of a 3-year/3rd year of a 5-year law degree OR
  • have completed a law degree from a recognised institution

Note:- Advanced computer knowledge (MS Office, infographics, Adobe, etc.) will be preferred.

Benefits

At the end of the Internship Programme, interns must submit a monthly report and assigned research work. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion. This is a full-time, in-person internship, and interns should not engage in other courses or work during this period.

Interns may receive an honorarium of ₹1,000 upon successful completion.

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1:

Selection Criteria

Up to 50 candidates will be invited for the internship each month until all qualified applications are processed. Selection details will be shared via the Internship Portal or email.

Interns will be assigned to the Main Secretariat in New Delhi, the Central Agency Section at the Supreme Court, the Litigation High Court Section in Delhi, and the Branch Secretariats in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru.
