About The Program

Deloitte and One Young World invite applications for the Deloitte One Young World Scholarship Program 2019 from young leaders working in the field of social development. The scholarship intends to improve the access to opportunity for people in their communities, countries and the world and focuses on improving the skills and education of these young leaders. The scholarship provides the beholder with an opportunity to attend the One Young World Summit 2019 in London and other benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

The following applicants are eligible to apply for the scholarship program: 

  • Must fall in the age group of 18-30 years old at the time of application
  • Should be a young leader
  • Should be working in any non-profit, community organizations or social enterprises
Benefits

The selected scholars will receive the following benefits: 

  • Access to the One Young World Summit 2019 in London, United Kingdom
  • Cost of travelling to and from London (economy flights)
  • Accommodation at a hotel in a single room from 21-25 October which will include the following:
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
  • Transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue
  • Summit hand-outs and support materials
  • Participation in the Deloitte-hosted sessions for their delegation in the lead-up to and during the Summit and a Deloitte “buddy”

Step 2: Fill in the application form with the required details.
Step 3: Attach the necessary documents along with the application. 
Step 4: Submit the application.

Selection Criteria

The scholars will be shortlisted based on the following criteria:

  • Evidenced commitment to delivering positive change
  • Demonstrated capacity for leadership
  • Understanding of key local and/or global issues
  • Track record of generating impactful and innovative solutions to address education and skills challenges
Terms and Conditions
  • The scholarship expects candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to:

    • Improving access to education, skills or employment opportunities for people who may be left behind by the rapidly and constantly changing global economy like women and girls, disadvantaged youth.

    • Creating lifelong learning opportunities and skills development for people to prepare them for the future workforce, including in areas where there are talent shortages.

    • Accelerating entrepreneurship, new types of employment, or providing opportunities for people to overcome traditional barriers to employment.

  • While filling the application form, candidates are recommended to save their responses in an offline document as there is no provision to save responses in the online form.
