DBT Fellowship in Genetic Diagnostics 2022 is an opportunity offered by the Department of Biotechnology to postgraduate degree holders. The trainees/clinicians from outstation institutes will be paid a displacement allowance of INR 30,000 per month.

    Eligibility

    To be eligible, an applicant must - 

    • be a postgraduate degree holder (MD/MS/DNB) in Pediatrics, Medicine or Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Pathology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Laboratory Hematology, Laboratory Medicine, Anatomy, Physiology, Dermatology, Hematology, Radiotherapy, Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, or any other clinical/paraclinical speciality/Superspecialty
    • hold a regular position in Government medical college/hospital
    Benefits

    The trainees/clinicians from outstation institutes will be paid a displacement allowance of INR 30,000 per month.

     

    Note - The trainee will be eligible for the displacement allowance only if the trainee is not from the city where the training is planned.

    How can you apply?

    The eligible candidates can apply for the position using the below-mentioned steps -
    Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button and read the details carefully.
    Step 2: Send the application along with self-attested photocopies of the degree, certificates, MCI registration certificate and experience certificates through email to the Training Coordinator of the particular institution.

     

    Note - 

    • The application should be forwarded by the Head (Director/Principal) of the institute.
    • While sending a soft copy of the application to the concerned centre, a copy of the email may please also be marked for information to Dr. Karthikeya K, Scientist ‘C’, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India (Email Id: karthikeya.k@dbt.nic.in).
    • A soft copy of the application is to be sent by email to the Training Coordinator of the concerned centre(s) and it should be followed by a duly forwarded hard copy of the application along with copies of necessary certificates.
    • If there is a delay in submitting the application through the proper channel, the candidate can submit an advance copy within the last date of application to consider candidature. The application through the proper channel can be submitted so as to reach the concerned training centre coordinator by 10th October 2022.

Selection Criteria

The screening and selection will be based on scrutiny of the application form and telephonic interview. The evaluation criteria will include a commitment to learning and the possibilities for implementation of the learned skills at the workplace.
