Danish Siddiqui Journalism Scholarship 2023-24 is an opportunity offered by the Danish Foundation (NGO) to current undergraduate and graduate students of Indian universities. The scholarship aims to encourage EWS category students to engage in value-based journalism, through scholarships and guided mentorship. A total of 5 selected students will receive financial assistance of ₹50,000.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- belong to the EWS category
- be a current undergraduate and graduate student enrolled in a recognised Indian university/institution
- have an annual family income of less than ₹3,50,000
Note:- Preference will be given to students who’ve secured admission to journalism degree courses at a government college.
Benefits A scholarship of ₹50,000 will be given to 5 selected candidates.
The scholarship is for one year with an extension to the second year of study, as appropriate on a case-to-case basis. The scholarship shall be conditional on the scholar maintaining a satisfactory level of performance as determined by the college. The maximum duration of the scholarship award is two years.

How can you apply? Eligible students can apply for the scholarship by following the below-mentioned steps:-

Step 3: Scroll down to the lower section of the page and click on the 'Click Here to Apply' button.
Step 4: Fill the required details, upload the necessary doucments, and submit.

Application Deadline - 31st January 2024
Note - Applications for scholarships can be sent once the applicant has secured admission to the college. The scholarship is awarded on a rolling basis.
Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected based on academic merit and financial needs. The decision made by the selection panel will be considered final.
