About The Program

Dakshana Scholarship ( JDST) 2026, awarded through the Joint Dakshana Selection Test (JDST) 2027, is offered by the Dakshana Foundation. The scholarship supports meritorious Class 12 Science students from economically weaker backgrounds by providing free residential JEE/NEET coaching, along with food and accommodation, at the Dakshana Valley campus in Pune. The JDST 2027 is tentatively scheduled to be held in December 2026. 
 

EligibilityDeadline Date: 30-Nov-2026

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be studying in Govt./Aided/Public schools (not applicable for JNV/EMRS students)
  • meet all 3 of the following criteria
    • School: Currently studying in Class 12 Science at a Govt./Aided/Public school (Academic Year 2026-27) and must have appeared for the Class 12 board exam by May 2027
    • Annual Family Income: Up to ₹3,00,000 per annum for male candidates; up to ₹5,00,000 per annum for female candidates
    • Merit: Aggregate marks of Maths & Science in Class 10 above the cut-off — 
      • Engineering (Male): GEN – 85%; EWS/OBC – 80%; SC – 70%; ST – 65%; PD – 55%
      • Engineering (Female): GEN – 80%; EWS/OBC – 75%; SC – 65%; ST – 60%; PD – 50%
      • Medical: GEN – 80%; EWS/OBC – 75%; SC – 65%; ST – 60%; PD – 50%

 Note:- Students studying in JNV (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya) and EMRS (Eklavya Model Residential School) schools follow a separate selection process and are invited based on Class 12 Term 1 results rather than the eligibility criteria above.
 

 

Benefits

Selected students receive free residential JEE/NEET coaching, along with food and accommodation, for one year at the Dakshana campus in Pune.

Eligible candidates can apply by following these steps:-

Selection is based on a multi-stage process: 

  • initial shortlisting per eligibility cutoffs
  • performance in the Joint Dakshana Selection Test (JDST) 2027
  • final round of interview and document verification
