About the Program

The craft design fellowship is open to designers and young professionals to develop a range of new products for the terracotta craft community of Gundiyali. The Fellowship covers a fellowship amount inclusive of variable benefits. The idea is to develop a range of minimum 10 products using the traditional craft techniques and knowledge of the craftspeople of the Gundiyali cluster

    • Designers and Crafting Professionals with requisite experience
    • Experience in design and innovation of Terracotta based Traditional Products, Utility Based Products, Product for Spaces, Fashion Products, and Technology with Terracotta and Market Friendly Products.
    • Each fellow will receive a fellowship amount of INR 25000.
    • This includes the cost of travel, stay and honorarium for the fellow. Any material or craft technique related support will be provided on-field by the organizations.
    • Complete Online Application form
    • A portfolio of not more than 10 slides (max. file size 10 MB)
    • Letter of Intent (Email body/attachment)
    How can you apply?

    Follow the below steps-

    Step 1: Visit the application link and fill in all the details in the online form.
    Step 2: Submit the application form along with any previously designed products’ photos (if any).
    Step 3: Email applicant’s Portfolio to Email address: (find instructions below)
    Step 4: Results of the Fellowship will be intimated to the awardee fellows for the year 2018 via requisite contact channels

    Note: Applicant’s email on step 3 should include a Letter of Intent (email body/attachment) and Portfolio as prescribed.

    The subject line of applicant’s application email must comply to the format: "Application for Craft Colaborative Fellowship_*applicant’s name*”

Important Dates

Applicants Start: 20th October 2018
Applications Close: 20th November 2018
Results Announcement: 25th November 2018
Fellowship Field Work Commencement: 1st December 2018
Fellowship end: 15th January 2019

Terms and Conditions
  • The selected fellow must be available for Fellowship commencement at the stipulated Start Date: 1st December 2018
  • The selected fellow must be willing to devote 45 days to travelling and working with Gundiyali community.
