Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is offering scholarships to international students holding Bachelors or Masters degree to pursue higher studies at HUST, China. The selected students will receive a full tuition fee waiver and other benefits. The students have to apply for Chinese taught or English taught program at HUST to avail scholarships.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible, an applicant must:
- Be a citizen of a country other than P. R. China
- Be a Bachelor's degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for the Master's programs
- Be a Master's degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the Doctoral programs.
- Be in good health
- Have a good command over English Language (IELTS/TOEFL applicants preferred)
Benefits Students eligible for the full scholarship will receive the following benefits:
- Tuition waiver

- Stipend
- Medical insurance
Documents - Highest diploma
- Academic transcripts
- A study plan or research proposal
- Two recommendation letters signed by professor/associate professor
- Passport (if available)
- CV (including publication list)
- Valid Language Proficiency Certificate (if available)
- Acceptance letter from the professor/associate professor of HUST
- Foreigner physical examination form
How can you apply? Follow the steps below to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Visit the web page link here and create an account.
Step 2: Complete the online application procedure in HUST, choose "I am applying for scholarship at HUST" and submit the documents as required.
Step 3: Upon receipt of the system notification, the applicants should pay the application fee of RMB 600.
Important Dates
- Application open: 1 January 2019
- Application deadline: 31 March 2019
- Result declaration: June 2019
- The final list of scholarship winners will be published and winners will be notified from late June.
- The official admission document will be delivered from early July.

Terms and Conditions
- The application would remain open, while consulting/reference service would proceed after February 18th.
- The admission team of International Student Office would not be able to reply to every single mail concerning the application status or admission progress.
- Hard copies of the application are not preferred.
- The applications for language and literature of one's native language or the third country such as English/French literature will not be accepted.
- The applications submitted by current degree students in China’s university who will graduate in 2020 or later will not be accepted.
- The application fee is non-refundable.
- The documents uploaded during the application should be clear, true and valid.
- Documents in languages other than Chinese or English need to be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
