About The Program
Centrally Sponsored Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme ST Students (Class 9 & 10) - Ladakh 2023 is an opportunity offered by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, and implemented through the Government of UT of Ladakh, for ST students of Class 9 and 10 of the state. The scholarship aims to improve the participation of ST children in Class 9 and 10, to improve their performance and increase their chances of progressing to the post-matric stage of education. The selected candidates will receive up to ₹525 per month for 10 months and an annual ad-hoc grant of up to ₹1,000.

To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must:-
- be a domicile of Ladakh
- belong to Scheduled Tribes (ST) community
- be studying in Class 9 and 10 at a recognised institution
- have an annual family income of less than ₹2,50,000
- not be receiving any other scholarship
Benefits
The selected students will receive the benefits in the following manner:-

| Annual books and Ad-hoc grants (in ₹) | 750 | 1,000 |
Additionally, a disability allowance will be provided to Divyangjan students for a year in the following manner:
- Day scholars: ₹600 per month
- Hostellers: ₹800 per month
Note:- Leprosy-cured students who also have sickle cell anemia or thalassemia will be eligible to receive the disability allowance, provided they have the necessary medical certificate.

How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps:
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' link below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note: If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to 'Applicant Corner' and click on the 'New Registration' tab.
Step 4: Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox and click on the 'Continue' button.
Step 5: Select the respective Aadhaar option, enter mobile number, captcha code, OTP, and then submit.
Step 6: Fill in the required details and click on 'Save & Register' to complete the registration process.
Step 7: Now click on the 'Fresh Application' tab and log in using the application ID and password.
Step 8: Fill in the required details, upload the necessary documents and submit the application.

- Students who are residents of one state but pursuing their studies in another state will receive scholarship support from the state to which they belong, not the state in which they are currently studying.
- If any other family member, aside from the father and mother, is an earning member, their income shall not be included in computing the total family income.
- Self-declarations or affidavits of self-assessment of income shall not be acceptable and the state governments shall make appropriate arrangements to notify a competent income-certificate issuing authority for this purpose.
