About The Program
The CCRAS Post Doctoral Fellowship Programme 2025 is an opportunity provided by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, to Indian students with a Ph.D./PG degree in Ayurveda or Ph.D. in Allied Sciences. This 2 year fellowship promotes scientific research in the field of Ayurveda. The selected candidates will receive an award of up to ₹20,40,000 and other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-
- be an Indian citizen
- have a Ph.D./PG degree in Ayurveda or a Ph.D. degree in Allied Sciences
- have research publications in high-impact factor SCI journals
Note:-
- Students should apply within 3 years of the award of Ph.D./PG degree. Students with provisional degrees can apply.
- In case the Ph.D./PG is continued, they cannot apply for this fellowship.
Benefits
The selected candidates will receive the following benefits:-
- A monthly fellowship of ₹60,000
- Monthly housing and rental allowance
- Annual contingency grant of ₹3,00,000

Terms and Conditions
- House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be based on the work location, with rate revisions aligning with the Ministry of Finance's orders.
- The fellowship may be extended for a third year, depending on the provisions of the scheme.
- In case a fellow decides to end their fellowship, they must immediately inform the Director General of CCRAS via their institution's or lab's mentor.
- The DG, CCRAS reserves the right to terminate the fellowship at any stage in case appropriate progress is not made with the grant provided.
- Candidates are not eligible to pursue a Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF) at the same university, institute, or laboratory where they completed their Ph.D. under this scheme.
- Selected candidates are expected to join within six months of the effective date of the award.
