About The Program

The CAS-ANSO Scholarship (Degree Program) 2026 is jointly offered by the Alliance of International Science Organisations (ANSO) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). It supports talented international students pursuing Master’s or Doctoral degrees at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), or other CAS institutes. The scholarship aims to cultivate young scientists and promote global collaboration in science and technology. Selected students will receive a monthly stipend of up to CNY 7000 a month, depending on their respective courses, along with other benefits.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • be an international citizen (not hold Chinese citizenship)
  • be proficient in English or Chinese
  • be born on or after 1 January 1996 (Master’s); on or after 1 January 1991 (Ph.D.)
  • meet the admission criteria of USTC or UCAS for international students
  • not hold another degree in progress at any university in China


Note:- Applicants cannot apply to both USTC and UCAS simultaneously.

Benefits

Selected students will receive:-

  • Tuition waiver
  • Monthly stipend as follows:    
    • Ph.D. Program -CNY 6000 (approx.₹74,764.20) to CNY 7000 (approx ₹87,224.90) per month, up to 48 months.
    • Postgraduate - 3000 CNY (approx.₹37382.10) per month, up to 36 months.
  • Health insurance
  • Application fee waiver
  • International travel allowance/reimbursement from home country to China (one-time)
  • One-time VISA/residence allowance permit

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-
Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. 
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Navigate to the 'Application Procedure' (Part IV) and click on the USTC or UCAS admission system link (either graduate or postgraduate applicants).
Step 4: Create your account in the online application system.
Step 5: Click on 'Create an Account' and enter the required details to create your account. 
Step 6: Enter the email ID and password to Login.
Step 7: Fill in the required details and attach the supporting documents along with the online application form.
Note: Students can apply for the scholarship only after being admitted to the university.
