About The Program

Building Energy Efficiency Higher & Advanced Network (BHAVAN) Fellowships 2019 invites applications from students having an M.Tech/M.Arch/PhD degree in Science, Engineering, Technology and Architecture. It is a dynamic visitation program between Indian and US institutions and premier US universities that aims to create a sustainable and vibrate linkage between the two nations thereby building long-term Indo-American science and technology relationships. 

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
An applicant must -
  • Be a citizen of India with an M.Tech/M.Arch/PhD degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or Architecture in the specific area of Building Energy Efficiency
  • Be pursuing independent level research on industry-supported/extra-mural research projects and should have published in a high-impact academic journal
  • Hold a regular position in a public-funded S&T institutions/R&D laboratory/recognised academic institution (university or college) in India  
  • Be up to 40 years of age as on 31 December 2018

Documents
  • Latest mark sheets
  • Two recommendation letters for the faculty member, advisor or lab  supervisor on their official letterhead
  • No Objection Certificate issued by the parent institution 
  • Scanned copy of first and the last page of passport
  • Acceptance letter from the host institution
  • CV of US Host
Note: All documents to be uploaded should be in jpg/jpeg/png/pdf format with the file size not exceeding 2 MB. 
How can you apply?
Eligible candidates can apply for the fellowship online through following steps -
Step 2: Select the program to apply for and click on "Apply Now".
Step 3: Click on "Start Application" to begin. 
Step 4: Click on "Sign Up" and fill in the required details. 
Step 5:  Once the sign up is done, the applicants will receive a verification email on their registered email id. 
Step 6: Confirm the registration and complete the application process by logging into the online application portal using email id and password. 
Step 7: Fill in all required details and upload all supporting documents. 
Step 8: Finally, submit the application.

Terms and Conditions
  • The minimum duration of the fellowship is 3 months and the maximum duration of the fellowship is up to 12 months. 
  • The applicants are required to have a letter of acceptance from a reputed US technological/scientific institution/laboratory where they would undertake the research work under the fellowship. 
  • Relaxation can be given to applicants in terms of qualification if they have a proven and considerable research background as well as experience and are part of a recognized institution of higher education in Inda.
