About The Program

The BUas Bachelor Scholarship 2026 is initiated by the Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas), Netherlands. It is a tuition fee reduction offered to high-achieving students from outside the EU/EEA who are admitted to a bachelor's programme at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas). In the first year, recipients receive a reduction of €3,000 on their tuition fee along with other benefits.

To be eligible, an applicant must:-

  • hold a nationality from outside the EU/EEA
  • be enrolling in their first year of a full bachelor programme at BUas for a complete academic year
  • satisfy all visa and residence permit requirements for studying in the Netherlands
  • not already hold a scholarship that fully covers their study costs
  • achieve a minimum of 48 ECTS in each academic year to retain the scholarship in subsequent years
Benefits

The selected students will receive a scholarship:-

  • In 1st year, a €3,000(approx.₹3,31,317.00) reduction in the non-EU/EEA tuition fee
  • Subsequent years: €1,500 per year, conditional on earning at least 48 ECTS in the previous year
  • Award continues for a period not exceeding the standard length of the programme (e.g. a four-year programme allows a maximum of four years of support, even with a study delay)

How can you apply?

Eligible applicants can apply by following these steps:-

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below.
Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details (Note:- If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID).
Step 3: Applications are considered only when the student has already completed a full programme application at BUas and submitted all required registration documents. 

To apply for the scholarship specifically:

  • Send a motivation letter to scholarships@buas.nl before 1 May
  • Your letter should clearly explain why you are a strong candidate and what motivates your choice of programme
  • The Student Office will review all eligible letters and advise the Executive Board on both selected candidates and those placed on a reserve list

Note: If a selected student withdraws or is unable to meet visa requirements in time, the next candidate on the reserve list will be offered the scholarship.

Question: How much can I receive in total?
Answer: In your first year, students will receive €3,000 off your tuition fee. In each following year, students will receive €1,500, as long as they earned at least 48 ECTS in the previous academic year and have not exceeded the normal programme length.

Question: Can I apply if I already have another scholarship?
Answer:
No. Students who already hold a scholarship that fully covers all their study expenses are not eligible for the BUas Bachelor Scholarship.

Question: Who is eligible for the scholarship?
Answer:
It is open to students from countries outside the EU/EEA who are starting their first year of a bachelor programme at BUas and are paying the non-EU/EEA tuition fee, and are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
