British Council Scholarship for Women in STEM 2023

To be eligible, an applicant must - 

• be a female
• be a passport holder and permanent resident of India or other eligible countries*
• have taken admission to a course of study in the UK for the academic year from September/October 2023 – 2024
• have an undergraduate degree enabling them to gain access to one of the pre-selected postgraduate courses at a UK university (for master's level) OR
• have completed all components of Ph.D. in the last three years (for early academic fellowships)
• demonstrate a need for financial support
• attain the level of English required for postgraduate study/research at a UK university
• be active in the field with work experience or a proven interest in the respective subject area

Note - For the list of other eligible countries, refer to the 'Scholarship Detail Document'.

The selected candidates will receive economic support which will include tuition fees, stipend, travel costs, visa and health coverage fees. Special support for mothers and English language support (IELTS) will also be provided.

• Certificates/degrees/marksheet of previous qualifying examination
• A valid Indian passport
• Identity card

Eligible applicants can apply for the scholarship by following the below-mentioned steps -

Step 2: Click on the 'Register' button and fill in the required details to 'Register'. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id.)
Step 3: Navigate to the 'How to Apply' section, read the details carefully and click on 'South Asia'. 
Step 4: Click on the website link of the preferred participating university. The applicants can directly apply through the participating universities' websites for the scholarship.
Step 5: Complete the application process as asked by the university.
