About The Program

BPL Apprenticeship for Engineering Graduates/Diploma Holders 2023 is an opportunity offered by Bhagwati Products Limited (BPL), a public company in the field of manufacturing electronics products. Graduates and diploma holders in both engineering and non-engineering fields can apply for this one-year apprenticeship program. A monthly stipend of up to INR 12,000 will be provided to the selected 250 candidates.

To be eligible, an applicant must -

  • hold a graduating degree/diploma in one of the following from a recognized university/institution:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Computer Science & Engineering
    • Information Technology OR 
  • be a general graduate (non-engineering student) 
  • have passed the final qualifying examinations during 2019/2020/2021/2022/2023

Note -

  • For more details, refer to the 'Apprenticeship Detail Document'.
  • Applicants are not allowed to apply for any other disciplines apart from the ones mentioned above.
  • Candidates who have already undergone or presently undergoing apprenticeship training in BPL or any other company are not eligible.
  • The age limit will be followed according to the government Apprenticeship Rules.
Benefits

Selected candidates will receive the following benefits -

  • Graduates will receive a monthly stipend of INR 12,000.
  • Diploma holders will receive a monthly stipend of INR 11,000.

  • Aadhaar card (original and photocopy)
  • Consolidated marksheets
  • Copy of bank's passbook's front page/cancelled cheque
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the apprenticeship by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button.
Step 2: Click the 'Register' button and fill in the required registration details. (Note - If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email Id)
Step 3: Read the details carefully and navigate to the 'Application Procedure' section.
Step 4: Click on the given Google form link.
Step 5: Fill in all the necessary details and upload the required documents in the Google form to complete the application process.

Note - Engineering Candidates are required to register on the NATS portal before filling up the Google application form.

Candidates who are not registered with the NATS portal can follow the listed below steps to register themselves: 
Step 1: Visit the official website of the NATS portal.
Step 2: Navigate to the 'Enroll' button on the right-hand side of the dashboard and click it.
Step 3: Select the 'Student' option and complete the registration process filling in all the necessary details. (Note - Students who have already enrolled in the NATS portal, can log in with valid credentials)

 

Note - 

  • A unique enrollment number is required to fill the application for the apprenticeship program.
  • Candidates enrolling for the first time on the NATS portal are required to wait for their unique enrollment/registration number to be generated before applying.
  • It takes up to a day to verify the enrollment request and gets approved by the concerned regional boards. 
  • Once the applicants receive the unique enrollment number, they can proceed to apply.

Selection Criteria

The candidates will be selected in the following way:

  • Candidates will be selected based on the percentage of marks they have obtained in their qualifying degree or diploma.
  • For engineering graduates and technician apprentices, their marks will be calculated according to the grading system followed by the university or institution where they obtained their degree or diploma.
  • If candidates have been awarded grades or CGPA instead of marks, the percentage of marks will be determined using the conversion method of the respective university or institution.
  • For non-engineering graduates, selection will be based on the percentage of marks scored in all subjects during their graduation examination.

  • Candidates are advised to regularly visit the website and check their email for updates on the selection process.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
  • The list of selected candidates will be notified through their respective email or telephone.
  • The expected date of joining for apprenticeship training will be immediately after the interview.
