About The Program

BOAT (Southern Region) Apprenticeship 2022 is an opportunity offered by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (southern region), Government of India to B.Tech/B.E (full-time) graduates/diploma holders in Engineering who have passed out in the academic year 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 and non-engineering (B.A/B.Sc/B.com/B.B.A/B.C.A and others) graduates who have passed out in the academic year 2020, 2021 and 2022. The selected candidates will receive up to INR 9,000 stipend every month for a year.

To be eligible, a candidate must -

  • be a full time student in respective courses
  • hold a diploma/degree in Engineering in all disciplines
  • have an undergraduate degree in non-engineering subjects such as B.A/B.Com/B.B.A/B.C.A, etc. 
Benefits

The selected candidates will receive the awards in the following sequence:

  • Candidates holding a Degree in Engineering and Non-Engineering will receive a monthly stipend of INR 9,000 for a year.
  • Candidates holding a Diploma in Engineering will receive a monthly stipend of INR 8,000 for a year.
  • All the candidates are getting one-year apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Training Scheme of the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), Government of India.

 

Note - No Travelling Allowance (TA) and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be payable for attending the walk-in interview.

  • Original qualification certificates in the concerned stream of study mentioned in eligibility criteria
  • A government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar card/voter identity card/driving license/PAN card)
  • Xerox of provisional certificate
  • 3 sets of biodata.

Terms and Conditions
  • Students participating in the Apprenticeship Fair must enrol their name in the National Web Portal to get a user id and password and bring the same during the Apprenticeship Fair.
  • Students should bring 4 sets of photocopies of their user id mentioning their name, branch and year of passing at the time of attending the Apprenticeship Fair.
  • Candidates who have already undergone/undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible to attend the walk-in interview.
  • For the schedule and details about the Apprenticeship Fair, the candidates may access the official website and check the “Events & News” column.
  • If any branch of Engineering for which the industries are not participating, the biodata of the candidate will be taken by the official representative in authority to take further action and place them as apprentices under the Apprentices Act.
