About The Program
BITS Pilani Department of Chemical Engineering (DCE) Junior Research Fellowship 2021 is a research opportunity offered to M.E./M.Tech. or M.Sc. degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a project entitled - "Application of Co-axial Electrospun Novel Composite Nanofiber Membranes Towards Specific and Efficient Removal of Arsenic, Lead, and Fluoride From Groundwater". The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold an M.E./M.Tech. degree in Chemical/Mechanical/ Material Science Engineering or allied branches OR
- Hold an M.Sc. degree in Physics/Chemistry with at least 60% marks
Desirable Qualifications:
- Be NET/GATE qualified
- Have prior knowledge in membrane fabrication with hands-on knowledge in electrospinning and synthesis of nanofiber membranes
- Have knowledge of characterization methods, analytical techniques and flow simulation programming, especially COMSOL
- Have good lab ethics and professional transparency

- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- The position mentioned is temporary and for the period duration of the project (i.e. 2 years).
- If the performance of the candidate is found unsatisfactory, the position can be terminated with a 1-month notice.
- Only shortlisted candidates will be informed through email and called for interview through Video
conference (skype or google meet) or at Chemical Engineering Department, BITS, Pilani, Pilani Campus,
Rajasthan. - The selected candidate will be encouraged to join the Ph.D. program of BITS, Pilani as per the institute
rules.
