About The Program
BITS Pilani Department of Chemical Engineering (CE) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) 2022 is a research opportunity offered by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani to postgraduate degree holders. The selected candidate is required to work on a DST-SERB sponsored research project titled - “Computational Investigations and Atomistic Modelling on Designing New Two-dimensional Vander Waals Heterostructured Materials – A New Direction of Electrode Materials Towards Next-generation Energy Storage Devices” (DST-SERB-EMEQ (FILENO.EEQ/2021/000440))". The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month for 2 years and INR 35,000 per month for 3rd year.

To be eligible, an applicant must -
- Hold a postgraduate degree in Basic Science OR postgraduate in Degree in Engineering selected through a process described through any one of the following:-
- National Eligibility Tests- CSIR –UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE
- National level examinations conducted by central Government departments and their agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Benefits
The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of INR 31,000 per month for 2 years and INR 35,000 per month for 3rd year.

- The selected candidate will get a chance to apply for the Ph.D. degree at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus (Rules of Ph.D. program for BITS Pilani are applicable).
