About The Program

Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship Scheme for Minorities Girls 2021-22 is an initiative for minority girl students studying in Class 9 to 12. The scholarship aims to provide tuition fee assistance along with other benefits to the meritorious girl students of the minority community who are unable to support their education due to financial issues.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

To be eligible, an applicant must - 

  • Be a girl student belonging to Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, and Parsi communities 
  • Be studying in Classes 9 to 12
  • Have an annual family income of less than INR 2 lakh from all sources
  • Have secured a minimum of 50% marks (in aggregate) in the previous class
Benefits

The eligible students will receive a scholarship in the following way to look after their expenditure on admission and course or tuition fee and maintenance allowance:

  • For girls studying in Class 9 and 10: INR 5,000 each
  • For girls studying in Class 11 and 12: INR 6,000 each
Documents
  • Income certificate issued by the competent authority
  • School verification form (download it and get it signed by the Principal and upload its scanned copy with the application form)
  • Applicant's photograph on the school verification form and attested by the Principal
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through the following steps -

Step 1: Click on the 'Apply Now' button below. 
Step 2: Read the guidelines carefully, select the undertaking, and 'Continue'. 
Step 3: Select the state of domicile, scholarship category (Post Matric), scheme type (scholarship scheme), gender, write the applicant's name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID.
Step 4: Provide the bank details (Bank name, IFSC Code, Account Number)
Step 5: Select Aadhaar or Bank Account Number as identification detail and click on the 'Register' button.
Step 6: The mobile number will be verified and an OTP will be generated.
Step 7: Now, log in using OTP and fill the form.
Step 8: An application ID and password will be generated. Use that for future references.

Note: All the applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will lead to the cancellation of the form.

Last Date for Defect Verification: 31st December 2021
Last Date for Institute Verification: 31st December 2021

Selection Criteria

The eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of their financial need.

  • The submitted income certificates should be either in English or in Hindi. In the case of any other language, a notarized translation should be attached to the certificate. 
  • Submission of more than one application form will result in the rejection of the form.
  • The scholarship amount will be directly transferred into the beneficiary's bank account through DBT mode. 
  • The scholarship will not be granted for studies abroad.
  • If a student violates school discipline or any other terms and conditions of the scholarship, the scholarship can be suspended or cancelled. The State Government/Union Territory Administration can also directly cancel the award if duly satisfied with the reasons of violation of these regulations governing the scheme.
  • If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement, the scholarship will be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid will be recovered by the concerned State/UT Govt.
