B.S. Abdur Rahman Ph.D. Fellowship Programme 2018 invites application from postgraduate students for July 2018 session. The objective of the fellowship is to encourage fellows to do research work in their respective fields.
B.S. Abdur Rahman Research Fellowship Programme 2018
DeadlineClosed Eligibility - Applicant must be a postgraduate with minimum 55% marks in the relevant discipline.
- Applicants having Master’s degree in the field of M.E./ M.Tech./ M.S.(By research) are also eligible.
- Applicant having any other qualification recognised as equivalent to programs in the following departments: Civil, Aeronautics, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, CSE, E&I, IT, Polymer, Automobile, Islamic Studies, Management Studies (including Islamic Banking & Finance), Computer Applications, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Crescent School of Life Science & Technology and Economics, are also eligible.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or any other qualification recognised as equivalent thereto in the field of study with a minimum 10 years of R&D experience in National Research laboratories /Public sector undertakings and with a minimum of three publications in refereed journals / two patents.
Benefits Selected candidates in the field of Engineering will get a monthly stipend as follow:
- Junior Research Fellow: INR 15,000 per month
- Senior Research Fellow: INR 18,000 per month
Selected candidates in the field of Science & Humanities will get a monthly stipend as follow:
- Junior Research Fellow: INR 10,000 per month
- Senior Research Fellow: INR 12,000 per month
Documents The applicant must enclose the below documents along with application form & Demand Draft:
- For proof of age, attested copy of SSLC first page / Class 10 or matriculation certificate.
- Attested copies of degree certificates and mark sheets of both U.G and P.G.
- A duly signed one page write up on the tentative research topic.
- Four recently taken passport sized photographs.
- Employer's certificate (NOC)
- Photocopy of Aadhaar card or any other photo id card issued by the Govt. of India

Step 4: Send the completed application form along with a demand draft of INR 1,000 drawn in favour of 'B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science & Technology' payable at Chennai, to the following address:

Selection Criteria
After scrutiny of applications, the shortlisted candidates will be called to appear for a written/oral test or interview before a committee constituted by the Institution.

- Candidates applying for admission to more than one Department should use separate application form for each Department.
- Candidates currently in permanent, temporary or contract employment, applying for full-time studies are required to submit a no objection certificate (NOC) from their employer.
