Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is offering Marsden PhD Scholarship in Statistics, New Zealand 2019 for students having a masters or honours degree in statistics/analytics. It is a Marsden funded scholarship that allows successful applicants to work on a cross-faculty project dealing with identifying inflammation biomarkers for depression in Pacific youth in New Zealand. The project is led by Dr. El-Shadan Tautolo (Director of the Centre for Pacific Health & Development Research) and Professor Richard Siegert (Department of Psychology, Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences). The successful scholar gets a chance to gain valuable experience in biostatistics and healthcare analytics and well as works with an international team to contribute towards highly important health issues in New Zealand and internationally.
To be eligible, an applicant must -
Only one successful applicant will receive the scholarship that comprises an annual stipend of NZD 27,500 and PhD fees tenable for up to three years subject to satisfactory progress of the candidate.
