About The Program

ATSA Fellowship 2019-20  invites applications from professionals working across a wide range of arts and cultural activities. The key objective of the fellowship is to help potential leaders in the field of arts and culture of South Asia to develop skills, knowledge, networks and experience.  

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed

An applicant must -

  • Be a practitioner of arts and cultural activities
  • Have a minimum work experience of 3 years in the arts/culture sector
  • Submit an on-going arts/culture project
  • Be a resident of India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka only

Note: Artists and persons with unconventional careers and experiences can also apply. Also, candidates who are working outside of the streams specified can apply if they demonstrate knowledge, understanding and passion for arts and culture. 

Benefits

A total of 15 fellows will be selected from across South Asia which includes -

  • 2-weeks residential course in India in May 2019 
  • A 30-day secondment with a cultural institution in Germany/South Asia/UK over the year 2019-20
  • A concluding seminar in May 2020
Documents
  • A Curriculum Vitae (CV) outlining applicant's professional and academic experience
  • Two letters of recommendation from professional or academic referees
  • A statement of purpose, in not more than 500 words
  • A detailed description of the project, in not more than 800 words
  • A brief introduction to the project, in not more than 150 words

Step 4: Send the completed application form along with all supporting documents via email to atsa@arthinksouthasia.org.

Acknowledgement of receipt of completed application - 15 November 2018

Notification to shortlisted candidates - 28 January 2019

Selection Criteria

The shortlisted students who fulfil the eligibility conditions will be called for a telephonic interview after which the final selection will be made.

Terms and Conditions
  • Curatorial and research projects are not applicable for the fellowship. 
  • Participation in the 2-weeks residential programme is mandatory which includes intensive modules in Cultural Policy, Strategic Planning, Fundraising, Finance, HR and Marketing and Communications. 
  • All the documents to be uploaded should be either in word format or PDF format with the file size not more than 2 MB. 
  • If the candidates are selected for the fellowship, they will be notified through email. 
  • The selected fellows are required to submit -
    • Scanned copy of their passport
    • A countersigned contract that will be sent to them after selection
    • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer (if applicable)
